Help! My puppy keeps taking her bows out?

Starting when your puppy is young, is best. Get them used to brushing as well as having bows put in. At night when they are settling down, have them lie in your lap and gently brush them. Once you have them comfortable with brushing you can start putting their hair up with small scrunchies (you can get them at most department stores). They will try to take them out. It's ok, be persistent. Keep putting them back in. Once, she/he gets used to the weight, move up to the small bows. I always treated Katy when we were in training. She loves to go for walks, so after we put the bow in, we went for a walk.Two things happened, one she forgot she had a bow in and she started getting excited to get a bow put in. Now, when ever we are getting ready to go anywhere, she runs to the chair to get her bow put in. Good luck!

Why does Katy Bows heat cut the ends of the ribbon?

Katy Bows seals both ends of the ribbons on our bows. This prevents the ends of our bows from
fraying and coming apart and helps them last longer. This process is hand done, one bow at a time.

What if I want a color or style ribbon that I do not see on the web site?

We have lots and lots of ribbons that are not on our web site. If there is something that you are
interested in or if you would like to send a sample of what you are trying to match, we will help you to
select just the right ribbon to make a bow for you.

What is the difference ?

What is the difference between the full Swarovski crystal jewel and the Swarovski flat
back jewel?

The full Swarovski crystal jewel comes set in a silver slider. The Swarovski flat back is a 20mm
crystal jewel.

Does Katy Bows use glue in the bow making process?

Yes! We hand sew all of our bows and lock the knots in with a dab of glue. We also glue the jewel on
the bow with jewelry glue. For bows with barrettes we sew the barrette on then seal it with
jewel glue.

Can my dog participate in the Katy Bows gallery?

Absolutely! All you have to do is send your photos to Michelle @katybows. Include a little information
about your dog, the next time we make an update, we will start a album just for your dog.

How long will it take to get my order?

All of our bows are custom made by hand. We try to get our orders shipped within 3 days.
All of our bows ship United States Postal Service-priority mail. We will email you your tracking
number, when your order ships. Priority mail takes 2-3 days for delivery. We can ship via other carriers
by special request.

Why are there two bands attached to the bow?

We put two grooming bands on the bow in case one breaks. When you put the bow on your dog,
simply slip the first one on. Use the second one to wrap around the hair.  Click here to see
a demo. If the first one breaks, use the spare. If they both break, replacement
bands can be stitched on.
