How To... How to put on a bow
You should use a separate grooming band to put your dogs hair in with a pony or pig tail. When you put the band in, make sure that it is not too tight on their head. if it is back it off a little by separating the hair in the middle and slipping the band up or you can simply remove the band and start again. You will want to make sure that the band is wrapped snug around the hair (not close to the head). Once you have the band in, put the bow with the bands (your Katy Bow will come with 2 grooming bands) over the band that is snug on the hair. Use both bands, put the bottom one first and leave it loose. Wrap the top band a couple of times to help hold the bow on their head.

Even though you have a Katy Bow with a barrette, we recommend that you put your dogs hair up with a band first. When putting the band in make sure that it is not too tight on their head. if it is back it off a little by separating the hair in the middle and slipping the band up or you can simply remove the band and start again. You will want to make sure that the band is wrapped snug around the hair (not close to the head). Then slip the barrette between the head and then band. This will keep the bow with the barrette from slipping off. Back to TopHow to take a bow offIf your bow has a barrette, simply unclasp the barrette and remove it. If your bow has bands, stretch the band and carefully remove it from the pony or pig tail. Then take scissors and carefully snip the grooming band (do not snip any hair) holding the pony or pig tail.
Back to topWhen to take the bow outYou should remove the bow from your dogs hair each night. When you take the bow out, you should massage their head a little. You also might want to put a little Pet Silk hair serum or similar product in their hair to help keep it healthy.
